Detailed Instructions for Using Filter Bags

2026-06-23

In addition to the filter bag, which is a critical component of the filter, the filtrate itself is another essential element. During operation, if you notice that the filtrate has become cloudy, do not hesitate—this clearly indicates a problem. So, under what circumstances might the filter bag cause the filtrate to turn cloudy?

To ensure the filter bag operates properly during use, it must have relatively independent spaces on both sides. This requires close cooperation with the filter plates, which press its edges against the plate edges—often extending beyond the plate dimensions. As the equipment expands the filtration chamber, the filter bag is drawn back into the chamber, losing its intended function and resulting in suboptimal filtration performance.

Filtration bags are woven from fibers, much like fabric, which gives them exceptional softness and flexibility. However, this very characteristic makes them prone to damage during equipment operation, especially when the material being filtered contains hard or abrasive particles. Once punctured, these contaminants can pass through the bag, rendering the filtration ineffective.

Mesh count is an important parameter for filter bags, with the numerical value indicating the size of the filtration pores. A lower mesh count corresponds to larger pores, while a higher mesh count indicates smaller pores. Consequently, during material filtration, a filter bag with a low mesh count may allow significant amounts of solid particles to pass through, resulting in a filtrate that fails to achieve complete clarity.
